After a year-long hiatus, UK artist Dainty is back, to re-establish his presence in electronic dance music with the release of “How It Slips Away”. The EP showcases a concoction of Leftfield sonic explorations, merging flavours of UK-Garage, hard-hitting Bass and atmospherically rich Electronica. The lead single ‘Northbound’ achieved the Dance floor moment on BBC Radio 1.
‘How It Slips Away’ transports audiences into a space between textured escapism and no-holds- barred party fuel. Self-released under his independent label, Buried, the release marks a new chapter in his career following his stint with Part Four and NYC’s Nervous Records.
Based in Manchester but hailing from Nottingham, the name “Dainty” holds deep personal significance reflecting his English and Jamaican upbringing. In tradition, his relatives nicknamed him “Dainty Dainty” due to his small size as a baby. The name contrasts his bold sound, which is built for big dance floors.
