DAINTY - NORTHBOUND [BRD002]

After a year-long hiatus, UK artist Dainty is back, to reestablish his presence in electronic dance music with the release of "Northbound," the lead single from his forthcoming EP, How It Slips Away. The track, self-released under his independent label Buried, marks a new chapter in his career following his successful stint with NYC’s Nervous Records.

The track is inspired by Dainty's midnight drives from Nottingham to Leeds. It captures the essence of these journeys through a blend of UK sounds. Dainty's craft of emotionally driven music is on full display capturing the raw, pulsating energy of the night. The reverberating bass lines and intricate rhythms are designed to evoke the sensation of a car shaking from its speakers, placing listeners in the back seat of the nocturnal drive.

"Northbound" is branded with conceptual artwork directed and designed by Brenden Dennis. The cover art, inspired by AI facial recognition, is brought to life by photographer Oliver Campbell, adding a dystopian layer to the track's release and a first glimpse of the visual world of the project.

Northbound achieved the the ‘Dancefloor Moment’ on BBC Radio 1 - Dance.
